2028 Lacrosse Recruiting Watch: Commitments & Available Board

The Class of 2028 recruiting cycle is moving quickly. With programs now building their first groups of commitments, the early picture shows major programs landing high-end talent while a deep group of nationally regarded boys and girls prospects remains available.

For athletes and families, recruiting is still developing. A verbal commitment is not a National Letter of Intent, and player evaluations, roles, and college needs will continue to evolve.

Boys: A Busy Start to September

The latest boys commitments feature several high-level players choosing Division I programs. Goalie Dylan Choi of Culver Academy Prep committed to Notre Dame, while Tucker White of Salisbury School committed to Michigan. North Carolina added defenseman Johnny Hayden II and midfielder Cooper Augustine. Boston University landed midfielders William Dodds and Grady Paltos, Georgetown added Morgan Olivier, Dartmouth secured Winn Hapgood, and Virginia picked up attackman Vincent Ward.

Army has assembled the early No. 1 boys 2028 recruiting class in Inside Lacrosse class rankings, led by faceoff specialist Zuva Chakabva, defender Brigg McKay, attackmen Zach Taylor, Landon Amorim, and Gavin Carpenter, plus LSM Ryan McDermott.

The biggest early storyline is depth. Attackmen, midfielders, defenders, faceoff specialists, and goalies are all still available at the four-star level, giving college staffs plenty of options as the fall evaluation period develops.

Girls: Elite Talent Remains on the Board

The girls Class of 2028 is headlined by Maryland-bound midfielder Madelynn Moran, the No. 1 player in Inside Lacrosse's current rankings. Other early commitments near the top of the class include Meaghan O'Brien to North Carolina, Ever Shull to Duke, Carly Eikenberg to Maryland, Ella Bacallao to Michigan, and Reese Goodenough to Stanford.

Carcaterra, McCrone, Dimnaku, Murphy, and Ray form an especially strong early group of uncommitted midfield and attack talent. The available board also includes quality at every major position, with Myers providing defensive value and Holden representing one of the top uncommitted goalies in the class.

The fall club season will shape the next wave of 2028 decisions. College coaches will continue to prioritize athletes who can contribute at a specific position, excel against elite competition, and fit their academic and roster needs.
